Three Premier League clubs, Everton, Newcastle United and Fulham, have all been linked with signing Clement Grenier from Ligue 1 Guingamp

Clement Grenier could finally make his long-awaited move to the Premier League this summer.
L’Equipe reported at the end of June that three top flight clubs, Everton, Newcastle and Fulham, had all made contact with the gifted playmaker. This came after the 27-year-old, whose career has been damaged so badly by injuries in recent years, reminded everyone of his qualities with a superb spell at Guingamp.
Grenier scored five times and set up just four more for the Ligue 1 outfit to put himself in the shop window once more.
And after Grenier was a notable absentee from Guingamp’s 2-2 pre-season friendly draw with Brest, manager Antoine Kombouare has dropped a rather substantial hint about his future.
“He is about to leave,” the former PSG boss told La Telegramme of the once France international.
“That’s why I do not take risks by making him play. He is about to leave.”

It remains to be seen who will win the race for the former Lyon and Roma midfielder, who is understood to be valued at around £3 million with just a year left on his contract.
It is well documented that Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez wants a creative number 10 like Grenier, while Everton lacked a little cutting edge last season, meaning the gifted Frenchman ticks plenty of boxes.
Fulham, meanwhile, have already raided Ligue 1 for Nice duo Jean Michel Seri and Maxime Le Marchand.
