Everton were forced to loan Henry Onyekuru to Anderlecht this summer due to work permit issues.

If work permit issues had not forced Everton to loan Henry Onyekuru back to Belgium for a season, there is a very real chance that the 20-year-old striker would already be playing a major role at Goodison Park.
The Toffees finally brought an end to one of Europe’s longest running transfer sagas when they landed the Nigerian scoring sensation for £7 million following a stunning breakthrough season with KAS Eupen in the Jupiler League, as reported by the BBC.
However, Onyekuru did not yet have a work permit to play in England, meaning he stayed in Belgium with Anderlecht. And, after netting 22 goals for Eupen last season, the Thierry Henry-obsessed youngster has been a bright spark in a dreadful start to 2017/18 for the current league champions.

Onyekuru scored his fourth goal in four games at the weekend. But it’s not just the tally but the timing of the goals that have been so impressive.
The African prodigy netted twice to inspire a 3-2 win against Lokeren before coming off the bench to snatch a late equaliser away to Kortrijk. Anderlecht were once again indebted to Onyekuru on Sunday as his 89th minute strike proved the difference in a narrow win over Standard Liege.

Everton, just a few hours earlier, had slumped to a 1-0 home defeat to Burnley – their third Premier League game out of four without finding the net.
Therefore, Koeman must be counting down the days until he can bring Onyekuru on from the bench.
