Rangers reportedly held talks with Sean Clare before the London-born midfielder joined Scottish Premiership rivals Hearts last summer.

Sean Clare is quickly becoming Hearts’ go-to man.
The Edinburgh outfit pulled off a real coup when they beat a whole host of clubs both north and south of the border to sign the coveted midfielder on a free transfer from Sheffield Wednesday last summer.
After a slow start to life at Tynecastle, Clare is going from strength to strength and showing what all the fuss was about.
The 21-year-old has scored six times since the turn of the year, his latest strike coming in Saturday’s 3-0 Scottish Cup semi-final victory against Inverness.
Hearts should be confident that Clare maintains his red-hot form when Rangers come to town on Saturday. And the one-time Gillingham loanee will no doubt be keen to make an impression against one of the many clubs who tried to sign him in 2018.

TEAMtalk claimed that Rangers had held talks with the elegant central midfielder before he opted for a move to Craig Levein’s side instead. And, on current form, don’t bet against Clare showing the Gers what they are missing in typically stylish fashion.
The London-born youngster is getting better and better in Hearts colours and stopping him in full flow is easier said than done.
