Kenny Miller’s days at Ibrox appear to be numbered and Scottish Premiership giants Rangers have just snapped up an excellent replacement in Cummings.

Jason Cummings was a constant thorn in Rangers’ side during his goal-laden spell at Hibernian. The natural-born net buster scored eight times against the Glasgow giants, but will now be banging them in for the Gers instead.
Cummings has moved to Ibrox on loan for the rest of the season after failing to make an impression in six months at Nottingham Forest. And the BBC adds that Rangers will have an option to buy the 22-year-old if he impresses between now and the summer.
And the question that should be on the lips of Rangers fans is whether the club have finally secured a long-term replacement capable of stepping into the shoes of Kenny Miller.

The veteran club icon has been missing since December with a ruptured hamstring and is expected to be on the sidelines for a substantial period of time. Miller, however, is 38 these days and, with his contract expiring in the summer, it remains to be seen how many more times he will be seen in a Rangers shirt.
Considering that the long-serving striker has scored just twice in 15 Scottish Premiership appearances, he does not provide the same goal-scoring threat even when fully fit these days.

However Cummings, 16 years Miller’s junior, could be ready to step up to the plate. This charismatic bundle of energy scored more than 20 goals for three straight seasons at Hibernian, the first player to do that for over 50 years, and he was never really given a fair crack of the whip at Forest.
At Rangers, however, he has the potential and the natural-born ability to be the main man in a post-Miller era.
