After a dismal spell at Charlton Athletic, Joe Dodoo is set to return to League One with Blackpool as Rangers reportedly let him leave Ibrox on loan.

Joe Dodoo’s impending loan move to Blackpool has a feel of make-or-break about it.
According to Sky Sports, the League One club are set to sign the 22-year-old Rangers forward on a temporary deal, shortly after Football Ghana reported that Steven Gerrard was keen to hand him a fresh start at Ibrox.

Dodoo was one of a number of players who were expected to be sold by a Rangers side undergoing major changes this summer. But a loan move to Bloomfield Road will give the former Leicester City youngster the chance to get regular game-time under his belt and prove that he has the quality to make the grade at Rangers.
But Dodoo surely cannot afford another disappointing season, especially after his disastrous spell at Charlton Athletic a year ago.

The speedy attacker joined the Addicks last summer but managed just five substitute appearances in England’s third tier, before being axed by manager Karl Robinson and returning to Glasgow ahead of schedule midway through the season.
It is fair to say Dodoo will be under pressure to make a much bigger impact at Blackpool. Because, if he fails again, any chances he had of a future at Rangers could disappear.
