Scottish Premiership champions Celtic rejected the chance to sign Thomas Agyepong in 2014 and he’s now playing for Neil Lennon’s Hibs.

Hibs' forward, Thomas Agyepong, during the Scottish Ladbrokes Premiership match between Hibernian and Kilmarnock at Easter Road on September 15, 2018 in Edinburgh, United Kingdom.

Thomas Agyepong will be missing for the foreseeable future.

According to Ghana boss James Appiah, the winger has picked up an ankle injury on international duty and will now be unavailable for Hibernian’s next couple of games with a three week absence the initial prognosis, as reported by the Daily Record.

As a result, he will not be available for Hibs’ home clash with Celtic after the international break. And this should be a big blow for the on loan Manchester City youngster.

Because he would surely have been chomping at the bit, desperate to prove a point to the side who turned him down in 2014. The Scottish Sun reports that a fresh-faced Agyepong had a trial with The Hoops four years ago but Ronny Deila was not interested in offering him a contract.

Known for his rapid pace and direct approach, Agyepong went into the international break in eye-catching form, opening his account for Hibs in a 3-0 away win at Dundee in September.

And his speed could have caused big problems for a Celtic defence which has looked a little shaky throughout this calendar year.
