Leeds United’s Kemar Roofe is reportedly wanted elsewhere but he is excelling at Elland Road.

Transforming Kemar Roofe into a regular goal-scorer, not to mention a natural centre-forward, is one of the biggest successes of Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United reign thus far.
The 25-year-old is in the form of his life right now, taking his tally to seven goals in ten Championship games this season with the decisive goal in Leeds’ 2-1 Championship victory away at Wigan Athletic on Sunday.
Roofe has become somewhat indispensable in recent months. So reports from the Mirror (4 November, page 66) are very worrying for Leeds fans dreaming of a return to the Premier League after 15 years away.
Roofe’s contract is due to expire in the summer of 2020 and it is understood that talks over a new deal have stalled with three Premier League sides, Wolves, Southampton and Crystal Palace, hoping to take advantage.
Speaking during Sky Sports’ live coverage of the clash at the DW Stadium (4 November, 1.30pm), former Leeds striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has warned Bielsa that losing Roofe does not bare thinking about.

“Roofe is becoming so important for Leeds, they need to keep him,” the Elland Road legend said.
The former West Brom and Oxford forward, who moved to West Yorkshire for £3 million in 2016, has proved himself as the perfect option for Bielsa’s attacking system, pressing from the front, linking with his teammates and running the channels impressively.
But it is Roofe’s improved goal tally that has really caught the eye.
