Nico Barella is flying in Serie A with Cagliari and is reportedly a target for Premier League duo Everton and Spurs.

Nico Barella might not be on his way to the Premier League after all.
The 21-year-old Cagliari midfielder has been a gossip column regular in recent weeks having been in terrific form in Serie A. The Express reported recently claimed that Tottenham Hotspur were keen on the energetic Italian, who could potentially replace Mousa Dembele in North London.
And latest claims from The Express stated that Everton are in the race too, having sent scouts to watch Barella in Cagliari’s goalless draw against Sampdoria in September.
But it seems that both Tottenham and Everton could be disappointed, because Barella would prefer to remain in Italy for the time being, according to Calciomercato, with a potential move to Milan or Inter catching his eye.
Roma are also understood to be interested with much-vaunted sporting director Monchi a big fan of the £35 million-rated central midfielder.

So Everton and Tottenham could both be wasting their time putting all their eggs in the Barella basket ahead of the January transfer window.
Because it seems that the youngster has his heart set on a move to one of Italy’s biggest clubs rather than plying his trade in the Premier League.
