Liverpool have been linked with two attacking midfielders: Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey and Hoffenheim’s Bundesliga ace Kerim Demirbay.

Liverpool allegedly want to sign Aaron Ramsey but they are not the only ones.
According to the Mirror (17 October, page 51), Jurgen Klopp’s side are circling, with Ramsey set to leave Arsenal when his contract expires at the end of the season.
But Manchester United and Chelsea are believed to be keeping a close eye on the Welsh international, too. As are Everton, whose sporting director Marcel Brands is apparently readying a £150,000-a-week offer complete with a £15 million signing-on fee.
It is sensible, then, that Liverpool avoid putting all their eggs in the Ramsey basket. Which might explain the ongoing Kerim Demirbay interest.
Turkish Football claimed on Wednesday that the German international midfielder, who plays in the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim, is an option for Liverpool ahead of the January transfer window.

The Reds are understood to be in talks with Demirbay’s representatives, although his £28 million release clause (Bild) means he would cost a lot more, at least initially, than Ramsey.
But the former Dortmund youngster could do a similar job, even if he is not quite at the same level. Demirbay’s reputation is built upon energetic bursts from the centre of midfield and his ability to score eye-catching goals from range.
