Lazio striker Ciro Immobile could leave Serie A this summer with Tottenham Hotspur prepared to pay big and bring him to the Premier League.

Could Tottenham Hotspur boast two world-class strikers next season?

According to the Mirror, Spurs are planning an audacious raid on Italian giants Lazio this summer, with the coveted midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and prolific goal-scorer Ciro Immobile lined up for stunning moves to North London.

The chances of Milinkovic-Savic playing for Mauricio Pochettino next season look slim with Lazio putting a £130 million price-tag on the Serbian international’s head.

But a deal for Immobile, who finished the 2017/18 season as Serie A’s joint-top scorer along with Mauro Icardi, might just be possible.

Because, on her official Instagram page, Immobile’s partner Jessica Melena appears to have bid farewell to life in Rome in an emotional message.

“Thanks Lazio,” she wrote. “Thank you for all the emotions you made me experience, the joys and the pains.

“Thank you for the love you have always shown to Ciro, and me too. I carry you in my heart. Always.”

That certainly does not sound like the sort of paragraph a person would write if they were intending to stay where they are.

It is not known how much Tottenham would have to pay for Immobile but, given that he scored 41 goals last season in all competitions and has a contract until 2022, any fee would surely have to exceed the £42.5 million they spent on current record signing Davinson Sanchez last summer.
