Everton are reportedly hoping to raid Sporting Lisbon for 21-goal captain Fernandes but Sigurdsson showed he is still Premier League class.

Gylfi Sigurdsson produced one of his finest performances in Everton colours on Tuesday night.
The midfielder scored twice in an outstanding display away at Cardiff City, driving home brilliant goals with both feet to replace Eidur Gudjohnsen as the most prolific Icelander in the history of the Premier League.
The midfielder departed the Cardiff City Stadium to a standing ovation from the visiting support. And this match-winning display could hardly have been better timed amid rumours that Everton are looking at a talented Portuguese play-maker who would have cast his future into doubt.
According to Record, the Toffees are keen on Sporting Lisbon captain Bruno Fernandes, a hugely gifted and dynamic midfielder who has scored a remarkable 21 goals in all competitions this season.

It is understood that Sporting may be forced to sell, with A Bola claiming that he could go for around £35 million. Worryingly for the Icelandic international, he plays in the same position that Sigurdsson is attempting to make his own in Marco Silva’s squad.
In truth, match-winning performances like Tuesday’s in South Wales have been few and far between for Sigurdsson since he moved to Everton from Swansea.
But, with Fernandes on their radar, he must build on this with three months left in the season.
