Calvin Miller wants a future at Scottish Premiership champions Celtic, so he has to make the right impression on loan at Neil McCann’s Dundee.

Celtic’s decision to loan out the highly-rated Calvin Miller to Dundee raised eyebrows from some sections of the Bhoys’ support.
After all, would Brendan Rodgers have been better off putting his faith in youth rather than bringing the 32-year-old Emilio Izaguirre back to Glasgow after a disappointing spell in Saudi Arabia? Possibly.
Although, on the other hand, Miller should only benefit from playing regular top-flight football at Dens Park rather than sitting on the bench and waiting for the irrepressible, almost ever-present Kieran Tierney to be rested.

Speaking to the Scottish Sun, the 20-year-old admitted that he hopes to secure a long-term future in Celtic’s first-team by impressing for Neil McCann’s Dundee.
“I’ve come here to play games, to show that I am ready if I am needed back if Kieran goes away. That’s my objective. That’s why I came here,” Miller said.
And the Glasgow-born youngster is certainly making a positive first impression. Miller impressed plenty of fans with his energy and crossing ability from the left-flank in an otherwise 3-1 defeat to Motherwell on his Dundee debut.
Kristoffer Ajer and Ryan Christie have both proved themselves in loan spells away from Celtic before returning to nail down a place in Rodgers’ plans.
If Miller continues this lively start, there is no reason to believe he cannot follow in their footsteps.
