Championship outfit West Bromwich Albion have been linked with Blackburn Rovers’ Bradley Dack, Aberdeen’s Scott McKenna and Rangers’ James Tavernier.

West Bromwich Albion are well placed to fight for an immediate return to the Premier League in 2019.
Darren Moore’s side have established themselves in the Championship title race and hammered fellow promotion chasers Leeds United 4-1 before the international break.
And it appears that West Brom will be busy in the January transfer window as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of a crucial second half of the season.
The Daily Record reported that The Baggies have scouted Rangers captain James Tavernier with a right-back still on Darren Moore’s wish list, while The Sun ( 7 October, page 61) have claimed that Blackburn Rovers’ £20 million-rated revelation Bradley Dack is still on their radar too – but should a Scottish Premiership centre-back be West Brom’s priority?

Speaking to Jim White on talkSPORT(20 November, 12.50pm), assistant coach Graeme Jones admits that West Brom “are in the process of identifying players.”
Now, The Baggies are the most prolific team anywhere in the Football League right now with Dwight Gayle, Jay Rodriguez, Matt Phillips and Harvey Barnes all in top form over recent months. Dack, then, would be a fine signing but he’d only enhance the strongest area of Darren Moore’s squad.
At the back, however, West Brom have looked shaky and error-prone so a new, commanding centre-back is simply a must. And that is where Scott McKenna comes in.
According to the Express and Star, the Midlands outfit are looking at Aberdeen colossus, who the Daily Record believes is valued at £10 million. Strong in the air and under-rated with the ball at his feet, McKenna is a leader too, having captained Scotland in only his fourth international appearance.
On paper, he could be the man who solves West Brom’s defensive deficiencies – and that is the major obstacle between them and promotion right now.
