Aitor Karanka, the manager of Championship outfit Nottingham Forest, has admitted that he is keen to bring Karim Ansarifard to the City Ground.

Lewis Grabban hasn’t exactly set the world alight since his £6 million move to Nottingham Forest from Bournemouth (BBC).
The experienced striker scored 20 Championship goals in loan spells at Sunderland and Aston Villa last season. But so far in 2018/19, he has failed to hit the net in five games for Forest, missed a penalty against Wigan and played just 17 minutes off the bench for the 2-1 defeat to Brentford prior to the international break.
Speaking to the Nottingham Post, manager Aitor Karanka admitted that Grabban’s attitude had impressed in training of late with a starting spot against Swansea City up for grabs this weekend.
But the former Norwich City striker will be desperately hoping to get off the mark against Graham Potter’s side with the shadow of Karim Ansarifard looming.

Forest have been linked with the free agent Iran striker for a number of weeks now and Karanka admitted to the Nottingham Post on Friday that he thinks the 28-year-old would be a perfect addition.
Ansarifard scored an impressive 18 goals in 27 games for Olympiakos last season. And should he arrive at the City Ground, Grabban’s place in the starting XI could come under threat, especially if his goal drought extends to six games against Swansea.
