With Celtic striker Moussa Dembele valued at around £40m, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool may see Malaga’s Sandro Ramirez as a better option.

While Celtic know all too well that they face a mammoth task holding onto their prodigious young goal machine, they can take some solace in knowing that another highly-rated forward is also on the radar of England’s biggest clubs – and may be available at a much lower fee.

If Moussa Dembele does indeed depart Celtic this summer, the club will be set for a huge financial windfall. After signing the 20-year-old from Fulham for nothing more than a development fee last summer, the Daily Record reports that the Scottish champions could rake in a £40 million profit this summer after a prolific, 32-goal debut season.

Liverpool, crying out for a reliable goalscorer with Daniel Sturridge seemingly on his way after falling out of favour under Jurgen Klopp, were reported to have watched him in action last month.

Meanwhile, The Scottish Sun claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are also tracking the Frenchman – a year after he reportedly failed a medical at White Hart Lane.

However, the interest in Dembele may be somewhat diluted by the emergence of Sandro Ramirez as a top Premier League target. The 21-year-old Barcelona misfit has thrived since moving to Malaga last summer, netting 12 league goals and impressing with his vision, emphatic finishing and wand of a right foot.

And, according to Sport, Sandro has piqued Spurs’ interest – aided by a £5.1 million release clause in his contract. That would certainly appeal to scrupulous chairman Daniel Levy, especially after the club wasted £18.6 million on their most recent Harry Kane back-up plan – AZ Alkmaar goal machine Vincent Janssen, Sky Sports reports.

Furthermore, AS report that Liverpool are also keen on securing one of the bargains of the summer. Therefore, with Sandro proving himself in one of Europe’s top leagues, you wonder whether he will appear a better, perhaps safer option than Dembele.

Celtic, therefore, may have a better chance of keeping their talismanic striker around for a while longer.
