Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers are said to be attempting to tie the loanees down to permanent deals.

Steven Gerrard appears to have been given sizeable funds to invest at Ibrox, and high profile targets are being linked.

The same paper claims that Oliver McBurnie, Connor Goldson and Reece Burke are also being targeted, while Scott Arfield has already signed up.
And if Rangers are setting their sights this high, then Murphy and Cummings could be brought to Rangers and immediately find themselves surplus to requirements.

Cummings and Murphy were both brought in during the January transfer window, and they have made positive impressions at Ibrox.
However, they have hardly made themselves key players at Rangers.
And if Gerrard does have such big ambitions, then Rangers should give up on trying to bring Cummings and Murphy in, and look elsewhere for potential signings.
