Marco Silva was sacked by Premier League Watford recently but would be welcomed with open arms by Leeds United supporters at Elland Road.

Paul Heckingbottom might have only been in charge of Leeds United for two months but there have been next to no signs that he is the man to wake up one of English football’s true sleeping giants.
So far, the 40-year-old has won just two of his 12 games in charge at Elland Road. The 2-1 win against Bolton Wanderers on Good Friday appears to have been nothing more than a false dawn either, followed by a slightly fortunate home draw with relegation threatened Sunderland and a 3-1 defeat against a previously out-of-form Preston North End.
It’s not just the results but the style of football to, or lack thereof, that has Leeds fans very worried for the club’s future under Heckingbottom.

So the fans haven taken to Twitter, not for the first time this season, to recommend their preferred alternative to under-fire Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani. And Marco Silva appears to be a real favourite among supporters who are desperate to bring an end to that 14-year stay in lower league purgatory.
Silva might have been sacked by Watford already this year but he is a coach with real pedigree, having won trophies with Olympiacos and Sporting Lisbon and establishing himself as one for the brightest minds in the game.

Better late than never, then.
