Matt Polster has been training under Steven Gerrard and could earn a contract at Scottish Premiership title chasers Rangers.

Rangers might have missed out on Andrew Gutman to Celtic but it seems that a talented American will arrive at Ibrox this month after all.
Defensive midfielder Matt Polster has been training with Rangers in recent weeks ahead of a potential move from Chicago Fire. The 25-year-old was even pictured during The Gers’ warm-weather training camp in Tenerife on Wednesday, being put through his paces by manager Steven Gerrard.
And, in quotes reported by STV, assistant manager Gary McAllister has explained the impact Polster has made behind the scenes at Rangers – and it bodes well for the Wisconsin-born enforcer’s hopes of a future at Ibrox.
“He was impressive on a previous visit so this gives us a better chance to give him a whole week with the players and work on loads of aspects,” McAllister said.
“He has been impressive so far, the recruitment guys have done a good job spotting this fella.”

As it stands, it looks like Polster is well placed to become Rangers’ fifth signing of a busy transfer window, joining Jermain Defoe, Steven Davis, Glen Kamara and Jordan Jones in sealing a move to Ibrox.
Polster has been plying his trade with Chicago Fire since 2015 and earned his first cap for the United States national team last year.
And he could become the latest American to represent Rangers, following in the footsteps of the likes of Claudio Reyna and Maurice Edu.
