Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa produced his best performance for Fulham in their EFL Cup win at the New Den on Tuesday.

It was a night of many positives on Tuesday for Fulham. A potentially daunting trip to Millwall in the third round of the EFL Cup could hardly have gone any better for Slavisa Jokanovic’s side after all.
Joe Bryan, Cyrus Christie and the impressive Luca de la Torre all scored their first goals for the club in the 3-1 win while Harvey Elliott (below), at just 15, became Fulham’s youngest ever player when he came off the bench in the second half.

While Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa will not have appeared on many back pages on Wednesday morning, this was perhaps the first time the Cameroon international showed why he cost £30 million, albeit against a side stuck in the Championship’s relegation zone.
The former Marseille midfielder made his first start for the Cottagers at the New Den and ran the game from the centre of the park. Anguissa is a classy operator; a powerhouse of a midfielder blessed with the touch of a sprightly winger while combining physicality with poise in possession.
The next step is for ‘Frank the tank’ to perform like this in the Premier League.
