Jurgen Klopp will reportedly hand forgotten man Divock Origi another chance to shine at Anfield, meaning links to other players may be dead in the water.
The 23-year-old was sent out on loan to Bundesliga side Wolfsburg last season to try to aid his development, with Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane all indispensable to Liverpool.
It was an indifferent campaign for Origi, as he and his teammates limped to a 16th-placed finish, but now the Echo claims Klopp is ready to believe in the former Lille player. But what does that mean for other reported transfer targets?

The fact that Origi is being brought back into the picture could mean reports linking Xherdan Shaqiri, Marco Asensio and Luan with moves to Anfield are merely speculation.
Origi is a winger who can also play as a central striker, meaning Klopp could have trouble trying to keep everybody happy if he was to sign any of the aforementioned names.
That said though, Liverpool will sell Danny Ings this summer – as reported by the Daily Mail – with a number of Premier League clubs interested in taking the 25-year-old, and Daniel Sturridge is another name being strongly linked with a move away from Anfield. Although neither played much of a part last season.
It will be interesting to see what Klopp does. If there are no signings made in the forward areas, then it would be clear the German is expecting big things from Origi in 2018/19.
