Jayden Bogle has started six Championship games for Derby County since Frank Lampard handed him his debut in the Carabao Cup in August.

Jayden Bogle was one of the unsung heroes in Derby County’s dramatic EFL Cup victory away at Manchester United on Tuesday.
The headlines were dominated by Harry Wilson, who scored that stunning long-range free-kick, and goalkeeper Scott Carson, who sealed the Rams’ win by denying Phil Jones in a tense penalty shoot-out. But Bogle was hugely impressive, too; the right-back belying his 18 years with a performance of great maturity.
The teenager has forced his way into Derby’s starting XI in recent weeks, ousting Andre Wisdom and starting six Championship games. Bogle has now been rewarded with a new four-year contract.
And Rams boss Frank Lampard has admitted that he knew of Bogle’s potential even before he was appointed at Pride Park.
“I was made aware of Jayden before I was appointed and he stood out because of how he approached pre-season and what he showed me in training,” Lampard told the Eastwood Advertiser of Bogle, who was handed his first-team debut in August’s EFL Cup clash with Oldham Athletic.

“He’s trained superbly from day one and showed great maturity and hard work. He’s shown that age doesn’t matter – if you’ve got all those attributes then you can do and we’re delighted.
“We’re delighted he’s signed a long-term contract, as I hope he is because he’s a big part of our future and a great advert for our academy, too.”
Derby have some of the most talented young players in the Football League in their ranks right now, with Premier League loanees Wilson, Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori standing out in a promising start to the new season.
