Alfredo Morelos and Scott Brown are the respective talisman of Scottish Premiership giants Rangers and Celtic.

In terms of position, Scott Brown and Alfredo Morelos could hardly be more different.
The Celtic captain is a dependable holding midfielder who screens the defence with tenacity and technical ability. Rangers talisman Morelos, in contrast, is a prolific centre-forward who scored his 17th goal of the season in the 2-1 win at Hearts on Sunday.
Personality wise, however, there are a few similarities. Brown and Morelos are both particularly combustible characters, players capable of inspiring their side with their backs against the wall but equally capable of losing their head.
And when speaking to the Scottish Sun, former Rangers striker Iain Ferguson has gone as far as to compare the two players.
“The big difference is in Morelos. Last season he didn’t look happy, this season he looks fitter and he’s getting better support around him,” Ferguson told the Scottish Sun.
“He’s a bit like Scott Brown at Celtic — one of those players opposing fans don’t like but who his own club’s love.

“But that’s because he’s a threat to other teams — as scoring 17 goals this season proves. I listen to a lot of the supporters on match days and they love the guy to death.
“He picks up a few bookings and he plays on the edge but I don’t have a problem with that.”
Morelos has certainly accumulated cards almost as prolifically as goals this season. The Colombian has been booked 11 times and sent off twice – no wonder he is known as ‘El Bufalo’.
But it is this feisty streak that makes Morelos such a daunting opponent for defenders, the South American’s mix of aggression and power making him not too dissimilar to the likes of Luis Suarez and Diego Costa.
