Premier League giants Everton have been heavily linked with Celtic’s Moussa Dembele but Ligue 1 youngster Martin Terrier is also on their radar.

Cenk Tosun enjoyed an encouraging debut for Everton in an otherwise disastrous outing at Wembley on Saturday evening. The £27 million striker led the line well, although he was a rare positive in a 4-0 thrashing away to Tottenham Hotspur.

Yet if manager Sam Allardyce gets his wish, Tosun will not be the only new face in Everton’s front line this month.

The Sun stated that the Toffees are still interested in Celtic striker Moussa Dembele. The former Fulham youngster, who has been linked with a £30 million move to Goodison Park since the summer, continues to be on Everton’s radar despite a less than stellar second season with the Scottish champions.

Alhough Dembele is not the only France Under-21 international striker who Everton are keeping a close eye on. Because L’Equipe state that Strasbourg loanee Martin Terrier is another talented young Frenchman who has his admirers at Goodison Park.

And while Terrier does not quite have the same prestige or fame that Dembele is enjoying after a sensational debut season at Celtic, in which he scored 32 goals and lifted three trophies, it is interesting to note that the little known Ligue 1 starlet boasts an even better record at international level.

Dembele has seven goals in ten games for France’s under-21s. But his strike partner Terrier has scored the same amount in five games fewer.

And with an £18 million fee floated for the powerful attacker, who is owned by Ligue 1 giants Lille, he would be far cheaper than Dembele, too. Plenty to consider, then, for Everton this month.
