Paris Saint-Germain’s talented young left-back is out of contract and West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur are right in the mix for his signature.

You have got to commend the bravery of any left-back considering making the move to Tottenham Hotspur. After all, few in world football can claim to be better in their position than the irrepressible Danny Rose right about now.

And Ben Davies, despite coming under fire for a testing evening at Anfield last Saturday, remains a solid alternative.

Yet The Sun claims that Tottenham remain interested in PSG youngster Fode Ballo-Toure, a 20-year-old left-back who, despite starring in the UEFA Youth League, appears certain to leave the Parc des Princes once his contract expires in the summer.

You can see why he would be eyeing up the exit.

After all, a number of promising PSG starlets, from Kingsley Coman to Jean-Cristophe Baheback and Hervin Ongenda, have all been forced to look elsewhere for first-team opportunities in recent seasons while the improving Layvin Kurzawa (below) and ageing-yet-evergreen Maxwell mean the Ligue 1 champions are hardly short of options at left-back.

However, if it is exposure to the senior game that Ballo-Toure is hoping for, perhaps he should look across the capital at the London Stadium rather than White Hart Lane.

The Sun add that West Ham recently entered the race for the in-demand youngster and, although Aaron Cresswell remains Slaven Bilic’s first-choice, there may be a vacancy opening up in the squad.

The Mirror reports that the Hammers are willing to flog the error- and injury-prone Arthur Masuaku for a fraction of his £6million transfer fee in the summer, meaning Ballo-Toure may find minutes easier to come by in claret and blue.
