Wolverhampton Wanderers were reportedly hoping to bring Felix Beijmo to the Premier League but he is going to the Bundesliga with Werder Bremen.

After months of speculation, it seems that Wolves have missed out on Felix Beijmo.
Wolves, who had set up a scouting network in Scandinavia to uncover exciting young talents like Beijmo, appeared to be at the front of the queue for the Sweden U19 ace, but their hopes have now come to a rather abrupt end.

Speaking to Football Direkt, it has emerged that Beijmo was not keen on a move to Wolverhampton because, after researching the area with his girlfriend, he came to the conclusion that it was a little ‘boring’.
Bremen, the picturesque city in northern Germany, appears to be right up Beijmo’s street, however.

“There is a nice river that goes through the city so it feels absolutely better,” Beijmo told Fotboll Direkt. “Bremen is close to other major cities as well, and it is also northern Germany so it’s not that far home. It feels clearly better both for me and my girlfriend.”
Wolves might have the ambition, the funds, the super-agent connections and the Premier League football, but there is nothing they can really do about their geographical status.
