Scottish Premiership side Rangers are reportedly about to save a whole host of wages with Bruno Alves heading for the exit.

Rangers fans, prepare to bid farewell to big Bruno Alves.
According to Gianluca di Marzio, the veteran centre-back is set to leave Ibrox and return to Italy with phoenix club Parma. In fact, the report goes so far as to suggest that Alves has already agreed a deal with the Serie A newcomers, who recovered from bankruptcy in spectacular style by winning promotion three years in a row.
So Alves’s disappointing spell in Scottish football looks to have come to an end.

The 36-year-old looked like one of Rangers’ biggest signings in years when he arrived on a free last summer from Cagliari. A defender with huge experience and almost a century of international caps, Alves had won the league in Portugal, Russia and Turkey and was part of his country’s victorious Euro 2016 squad.
But the former Zenit, Porto and Fenerbahce powerhouse never really made the impression expected of him at Rangers.
He started just 17 league games, even losing his place to youngsters David Bates and Ross McCrorie, while failing to win over supporters when seemingly prioritising the upcoming World Cup ahead of his club commitments.

So Alves will not be missed by the majority. His impending departure means Rangers will get one of their highest earners off the wage bill.
