Luke Garbutt has helped Ipswich Town to second in the League One table after leaving Premier League outfit Everton on loan… again.

If Luke Garbutt was worried that he had lost his place for good at Ipswich Town, Paul Lambert could not have made it any clearer that the Everton loanee still has a big part to play.
The 26-year-old, who is still contracted to The Toffees believe it or not, has spent the last five games out of the Tractor Boys side with an ill-timed injury. And with Ipswich unbeaten in that spell, scoring 11 goals and conceding just three, the question on every fans lips was whether Garbutt would be back in the starting XI once he returned to full fitness.
The answer was emphatic.

Garbutt immediately returned to the side as the League One promotion hopefuls travelled to MK Dons and Tuesday night and it felt like he’d never been away. The Harrogate-born defender produced an excellent display at left-wing back as Lambert’s second-placed side kept a clean sheet and secured a vital 1-0 win on their travels.
And Ipswich fans in their droves were quick to pay tribute to a player who finally appears to have settled in East Anglia after flattering to deceive during spells at Fulham, Wigan and Oxford United.
