Bilel Mohsni is a memorable figure at Rangers, but the former Ibrox ace has enjoyed a mixed start to life at Dundee United in the Scottish Championship.

Bilel Mohsni was named the Man of the Match after his Dundee United debut against Dunfermline on Saturday. But that does not mean Tangerines boss Csaba Laszlo has been won over just yet by the tough-tackling Tunisian.
30-year-old Mohsni, who signed on a free earlier this month, failed to stop Kallum Higginbotham setting up Nicky Clark for the Pars’ opener and it is fair to say Laszlo was not impressed.
“With all respect to Mohsni, I want to kill him. Honestly, I want to kill him,” the manager said in quotes reported by the Daily Record.

“It’s so easy, you cannot lose a one-against-one situation and give a goal. And then after you are again struggling and you again (let someone) run behind.
“He must be just Bilel who was at Rangers without red cards and punching somebody. I want a nasty Bilel who talks and works and leads other people.”
Suggestions that Mohsni is lacking that nasty streak these days will certainly raise plenty of eyebrows on the blue half of Glasgow. After all, his last game for Rangers back in 2015 will go down in memory for all the wrong reasons after he punched Motherwell forward Lee Erwin, receiving a seven-match ban in the process.

That was not the only time during Mohsni’s two-year spell at Ibrox that he let his aggression spill over.
So Laszlo will be hoping that he can tame one of the most madcap players in recent Scottish football history at Dundee United, while ensuring that he retains the fierce competitive spirit that made him a cult hero among some sections of the Rangers support.
