The winger frustrated fans again despite Leeds United scraping a win against Sheffield Wednesday.

With Modou Barrow and Alfonso Pedraza waiting patiently in the wings you wonder how many more infuriating performances Hadi Sacko can get away with for Leeds United.

The 22-year-old failed to add to his rather meagre tally of two goals and three assists with another display of wasted final balls and missed opportunities in Saturday’s Yorkshire derby clash with Sheffield Wednesday and former Leeds striker Noel Whelan was far from impressed, the BBC reports.

Fortunately for Sacko, Chris Wood’s first-half goal proved enough to overshadow his erratic performance although a number of Leeds supporters are starting to lose patience with the on-loan Sporting Lisbon attacker – and with good reason.

“Sacko has lacked that killer instinct for me today, and made wrong decisions when going past players,” Whelan told the BBC.

“There was that glaring one where he could have fed to Wood [in the first half]. That moment is what separates good players from great players. Good players might see it, back themselves and not make anything. Great players will see it and cross.

“But he has done well defensively today. He has tracked and worked hard. You can’t take that away from him.”

Sacko’s work-rate will certainly endear him to a manger who demands discipline from each and every member of his starting XI. However Leeds’ January activity, albeit questionable considering that they merely added two players very similar to the options already at Monk’s disposal, should start to increase the pressure on the loanee.

You will not find too many Leeds supporters with a bad word to say about their influential manager at the moment but, with Sacko on the right and Souleymane Doukara on the left, Monk’s picks in the wide positions have come under scrutiny in recent weeks.
