Tottenham Hotspur are keen to sign Everton midfielder Ross Barkley.
Everton’s move for Ajax midfielder Davy Klaassen could be good news for Tottenham Hotspur in their pursuit of Ross Barkley.
According to the Daily Mail, Klaassen is said to be being targeted as a direct replacement for Barkley by Everton.

The Toffees are prepared to invest £25 million for the Ajax youngster, who has been in impressive form this season.
And Everton’s decision to make such an expensive move, could hint that Barkley’s contract situation is proving problematic to get sorted.
Ronald Koeman has already suggested that if Barkley does not sign new terms in the near future, he will be made available for transfer – and Tottenham are closely monitoring the situation.

Spurs feel that they may be able to land Barkley at a cut price, as the England international has just over a year left on his contract at Goodison Park.
And, while nothing is certain at this stage, Everton’s move for Klaassen does seem to suggest that they could be preparing for Barkley’s exit.
