Everton boss Marco Silva has made no secret of his desire to tie down Kurt Zouma to a longer term deal.

Zouma joined Everton on loan from Chelsea at the start of the season, and he has enjoyed an excellent campaign at Goodison Park.
The Frenchman has forced his way into Marco Silva’s starting line-up, and the Everton boss has already confirmed that his side will try to make the transfer a permanent one in the summer.
However, the latest reports suggest that Everton would be willing to pay £30 million to sign Dakonam.
If Everton do manage to buy Dakonam then they are highly unlikely to bring in Zouma too.
Silva’s side are thought to have a sizeable budget to spend this summer, but the Toffees are highly unlikely to invest £60 million on two centre-backs.

Everton’s task of bringing Zouma in was never likely to be simple, as Chelsea face a transfer ban as things stand.
The Blues may not be able to make a single signing in the summer, and if that is the case, they may well want to retain Zouma to ensure that they are not left short at the back.
And Everton’s links with Dakonam may just suggest that Silva’s side are struggling to get a deal over the line for the defender.
