Antonee Robinson excelled in the Championship at Bolton Wanderers and deserves a chance in the Premier League with Everton.

Antonee Robinson enjoyed a dream end to an excellent breakthrough season.

His Bolton Wanderers side pulled off the most remarkable escape from relegation on the final day of the Championship campaign, ensuring the left-back’s loan spell from Everton ended on a happy note.

Robinson had never made a senior appearance for the start of 2017/18, but the 20-year-old quickly became a key figure for Bolton, starting 26 league games and even earning a maiden call up to the senior USA squad as a reward for his fine performances on the left flank.

And Robinson is under no illusions that next season could be crucial as he aims to kick on and progress at senior level.

“Next season will be the biggest of my life, whatever happens,” the Milton Keynes born youngster said in quotes reported by the Bolton News.

“Whether I break through at Everton or go on loan again to get more experience before my time comes.”

“But I do believe if I work hard enough there is a chance for me to get in the first team at Everton. However they want me to do that, I am willing to give it my all.”

It remains to be seen, however, whether Robinson will be given the chance to follow fellow Toffees youngsters Tom Davies, Mason Holgate and Jonjoe Kenny into the first-team next season.

But Everton are suffering from a lack of left-backs so there is certainly space in Everton’s squad for Robinson.
