Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly made the first move for Stoke City ace Ndiaye but do not rule out Premier League rivals Everton just yet.

It was understood that Everton even sent scouts to watch him during Senegal’s 2-0 friendly win against Congo. So it might be seen as a surprise that the Toffees have waited so long to make another move for a player who has now proved himself in the Premier League.

Ndiaye joined Stoke in January for £14 million following a brief stint at Galatasaray and impressed despite the Potters’ relegation. Since then, Ndiaye has been linked with a number of Premier League sides with Fanatik claiming on Monday that Wolves had made a £22 million bid.
Finally, however, Everton have re-joined the race, at least according to reports in Turkey. Fotomac believe that Ndiaye is almost certain to leave this summer and there is a chance he will be heading to Goodison Park, although a return to Galatasaray on loan is also possible.

Stoke have already secured a replacement in Oghenekaro Etebo, meaning the Potters are unlikely to stand in Ndiaye’s way.
Everton are planning a major overhaul of their squad this summer and Ndiaye would add muscle and a goal-scoring threat in the centre of the park. But the Toffees will have to pay big with Wolves seemingly starting the bidding at £22 million.
