Everton reportedly want to reinforce their defence by signing Serie A duo Davide Calabria and Cristian Zapata.

AC Milan are in crisis. And not for the first time either.
The Serie A giants put all their eggs into the Champions League basked and, after failing to qualify for Europe’s premiere club competition for the sixth year in a row, their plans have now been well and truly scrambled.
According to The Mirror, the seven-time European champions have now been banned from continental competition for the 2019/20 campaign after being found guilty of breaching Financial Fair Play regulations.
Milan were fully aware that missing out on the Serie A top four would force them to sell a number of players this summer. And the Rossoneri will now spend the remainder of the transfer window desperately hoping to raise funds to avoid a repeat of this unseamly scenario.
Now, this plays right into Everton’s hands.

According to Milan News, The Toffees are keen to sign Davide Calabria as competition for Seamus Coleman at right-back. Experienced Colombian centre-back Cristian Zapata is also a target, according to Calciomercato, with the Merseyside giants looking to replace Phil Jagielka.
Calabria is one of the most sellable assets within Milan’s squad while they would surely be willing to cash in on Zapata too, given that he is no longer a guaranteed starter at the San Siro.
So this is the perfect time for Everton to pursue a double-deal which would give their backline some added depth and steel.
