The £15m-rated striker now looks to be beyond Everton’s grasp.

Everton know first-hand just how dangerous Lukas Teodorczyk can be. Netting once and bludgeoning Phil Jagielka and Antolin Alcaraz into submission, the 6ft striker set the tone for Dinamo Kiev’s 5-2 thumping of Everton in the 2015 Europa League round-of-16.
And, according to HVBL, he left a lasting impression. Everton were reportedly mulling over a £15 million offer over two years on but, now, it seems their hopes have been scuppered.
After falling out of favour under Dinamo manager Sergei Rebrov, the 25-year-old joined Anderlecht on loan last summer with an option to buy. And, after netting 20 goals in 28 Jupiler League games, it’s perhaps no surprise that the Belgian outfit have taken up the offer.
According to Anderlecht’s official website, Teodorczyk has inked a four-year deal, lauding the club for jump-starting his seemingly stalling career.

And this looks to have brought an end to Everton’s hopes. Which, when you consider the fact that Romelu Lukaku may no longer be relied upon to bang in the goals at Goodison Park next season, could be considered a major body blow to their transfer plans.
However, the truth is that there’s no evidence to suggest that Teodorczyk could adapt as quickly to Everton as he has to Anderlecht. The Premier League, despite its questionable defending, is on a whole other level compared to Belgium’s domestic competition.
Teodorczyk has spent his entire career in secondary European leagues, with spells in Poland and Ukraine on his CV. Furthermore, his two seasons with Dinamo culminated in just 10 league goals and, thus far, he has just 12 caps for Poland.

Perhaps Teodorczyk’s qualities have been magnified by his environment. Can you really justify spending £15 million on a striker based on his goalscoring ratio in the ninth best league in Europe according to UEFA’s coefficient rankings?
