Sam Allardyce’s reign as Everton boss already appears to be on the downward turn and Toffees fans are dreaming of Conte as his replacement.

If Chelsea are ready to dispense with Antonio Conte, Everton fans would happily take him off their hands.
The Italian has cut a tortured figure on the touchline in recent weeks, his manic excitement replaced by the slump of a man who appears resigned to his fate, even if he continues to bat away any questions about his future with typical fighting spirit.
Chelsea have lost their last two Premier League games against Bournemouth and Watford by an aggregate score of 7-1. And Spanish daily Sport now reports that former Barcelona coach Luis Enrique is set to be parachuted in on a two-and-a-half year deal.

This would leave the previously unrelenting Conte jobless just a few months after he screeched and bounded Chelsea to the Premier League title.
But if the Italian finds himself on the market, it appears that Everton fans would not waste a second in bringing him to Goodison Park.
Sam Allardyce’s Goodison Park honeymoon already appears to be heading for a sticky divorce with Saturday’s 5-1 capitulation at Arsenal just the latest of an increasingly long list of humiliating performances.

Everton is a club in need of a new start, an energetic and omnipotent force of a manager that, with all due respect, the veteran Allardyce was never likely to be.
Could that man be Conte instead?
