Sam Allardyce obviously rates Toffees winger Yannick Bolasie highly, but fans of Premier League giants Everton might not agree.

Yannick Bolasie has not scored or created a goal since he returned to action for Everton in January, after a long injury lay off that had made him the club’s £28 million forgotten man.
Yet it appears that the former Crystal Palace winger has done enough to convince manager Sam Allardyce of his qualities.
“He’s pacey, he can take the ball from your own half to the opposition’s half and can get possession of the ball, take it right the way up the field and get you into the final third on his own,” Allardyce said of the DR Congo speedster in quotes reported by the Liverpool Echo.

“Him and Theo have the capabilities of picking balls up and moving the team forward and that gets the team right up the field and in the final third to create.”
But it seems that much of the Goodison Park faithful does not share Allardyce’s enthusiasm about Bolasie.
The 28-year-old is perhaps the best example of the erratic winger, blessed with extraordinary pace, skill and ability but burdened by grating inconsistencies. Even at his Palace peak, Bolasie would follow up one headline-grabbing display with a 90 minutes in which nothing would go right.

But, as Everton fans will be at pains to point out, Bolasie’s bad days are so far outweighing his good.
