Former Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner could be offered a return to Premier League management with struggling Everton.

Everton fans are understandably not to happy with life under Marco Silva right now. But that does not mean that they would welcome David Wagner to Goodison Park with open arms amid claims from the Times that they have lined up the German as a potential replacement.
Silva’s increasingly disastrous Everton reign hit rock bottom on Saturday as the Toffees were beaten 1-0 by his former club Watford at Vicarage Road.
The fact that the home fans serenaded him with endless verses of ‘You’re getting sacked in the morning’ while holding their inflatable snakes aloft merely added insult to injury.

And, although Everton’s majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri appears to have given Silva his backing for now, The Times believe that Wagner has been identified as a possible successor should the former Hull boss’ position become untenable.
Wagner is out of work after leaving Huddersfield Town by mutual consent almost a month ago. The 47-year-old worked wonders at the John Smith’s Stadium, guiding the unfancied Terriers to the Premier League but he left them glued to the bottom of the table, seemingly doomed and playing a style that has fans yawning rather than cheering.
No wonder the Everton fans want a bigger name.
