Premier League duo West Ham and Southampton reportedly want Ben Gibson from Middlesbrough but do not rule out Everton.

Everton are far from the only Premier League side keen to sign Ben Gibson from Middlesbrough but they might be the only club with a trump card up their sleeve.

Gibson, who is understood to be valued at £20 million, would come cheaper than Newcastle United’s Jamaal Lascelles, who had also allegedly been on the Toffees’ radar.
Although Everton could have something which makes them the immediate favourites to sign the one-time England call-up.
Middlesbrough, after all, would surely jump at the chance to sign Mo Besic again, after the Bosnian midfielder enjoyed a superb loan spell at the Riverside during the second half of the 2017/18 campaign, earning fan favourite status with his energy and tenacity in the centre of the park.

But could Besic be used as a makeweight in a deal for Gibson? It could be a very tempting offer that West Ham and Southampton would struggle to match.
