Championship duo Norwich City and Leeds United are reportedly looking to sign Wolfsburg’s Bundesliga youngster Elvis Rexhbecaj.

If Elvis Rexhbecaj wants to make a success of his potential move to English football, it is hard to think of a better destination for the young midfielder than Norwich City.

According to Bild, both Norwich and Leeds United are willing to pay £7 million for a Kosovan youngster who has impressed in the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg since making his debut in late 2017.

While the prospect of working under the legendary Marcelo Bielsa should appeal to any player with designs on being the best he can be, Norwich’s outstanding record when it comes to signing little-known, German-based talents should not go unnoticed by Rexhbecaj.

Christoph Zimmermann, Mario Vrancic, Marco Stiepermann, Tom Tyrbull and Onel Hernandez (below) all played a major role as the Canaries sealed their return to the Premier League last week. And all of them, plus Timm Klose and Moritz Leitner, moved to Anglia from German clubs in the last few transfer windows.

Head coach Daniel Farke, meanwhile, is a German tactician who was appointed in 2017 after impressing with the Borussia Dortmund’s reserves.

So there could hardly be a club more perfectly set up to welcome Rexhbecaj to British shores.
