Jack Hendry has struggled big time since he left Dundee for Scottish Premiership giants Celtic at Brendan Rodgers’ request.

Are we now discovering why Celtic seemed a little reluctant to meet Dundee’s £1.5 million asking price for Jack Hendry in the January transfer window?
The ball-playing centre-half caught Brendan Rodgers’ eye during an impressive performance against the Hoops back in October and, as a result, put himself right at the top of the Scottish Premiership champions’ shopping list.
But after seeing a £500,000 bid rejected, Celtic looked set to miss out on Hendry with Dundee demanding that the Bhoys treble their offer.

Eventually, on January 31, they caved in. According to TEAMtalk, Rodgers was a huge fan of the 22-year-old and demanded that Celtic did not miss out on signing him. Just a few hours later, Celtic agreed to pay the £1.5 million Dundee were asking for.
Three months on, however, Celtic fans are starting to believe that they might have been victims of daylight robbery.

The Hoops lost 2-1 to Hibernian on Saturday, meaning they will have to wait at least another week to seal the title, and Hendry was roundly slammed by supporters for his display; not for the first time either.
Toiling in an unfamiliar right-back role, Hendry was slow to react as Vykintas Slivka fired home Hibs’ crucial second with ten minutes to go. And it seems some supporters have already run out of patience.
