Glen Kamara has signed a pre-contract agreement to leave Dundee for Scottish Premiership powerhouses Rangers.
Glen Kamara is on his way to Rangers. The only question is whether he will be heading to Ibrox in the summer or before the end of the January transfer window.
The Dundee midfielder has already signed a pre-contract agreement with Rangers, meaning he is set to join the Glasgow giants when his contract expires in June.
But the Scottish Sun reported on Monday that Dundee would be willing to let Kamara link up with Steven Gerrard’s side five months early, so long as Rangers are willing to pay a fee to move the transfer forward.
Either way, former Dens Park favourite Lee Wilkie is yet to be convinced that the 23-year-old former Arsenal youngster has what it takes to succeed at the Old Firm powerhouses.
“I have to admit not to having seen too much of him but I am surprised,” Wilkie, who played for Dundee between 1998 and 2006, told the Evening Telegraph.
“He’s been great for the Dark Blues but I don’t think he’s good enough for Gers.”
Kamara was hugely impressive during the 2017/18 season but his form has dipped since being linked with a move away. And a number of Dundee fans took to Twitter last week to slam the Finland international once his move to Rangers was confirmed, questioning his attitude and general quality.
