Steven Gerrard’s Rangers hammered Scottish Premiership strugglers Dundee on Wednesday night, with Jim McIntyre’s side comfortably outclassed.

Jim McIntyre has paid tribute to a ‘sensational’ Rangers performance as his Dundee side were swatted aside at Ibrox on Wednesday night, while speaking to the Courier.
Steven Gerrard’s Gers have now scored 14 goals in their last three games in all competitions, cruising to another comfortable victory in midweek as they beat struggling Dundee 4-0 in front of their own supporters.
Glen Kamara scored his first Rangers goal just four minutes in against the side he left in January with James Tavernier, Alfredo Morelos and Jermain Defoe also on the score sheet.
With 63 per cent possession and 20 shots on goal, it was one of Rangers’ best performances of the Gerrard era; a fact McIntyre alluded to after the game.
“I thought Rangers’ movement was sensational and they fed off our mistakes,” McIntyre told the Courier.
“It was wave after wave at times.

“We were lucky it was only three at half-time. We were well beaten tonight by a team playing with high confidence levels.”
The only downside for Gerrard and co was that they are still eight points behind Scottish Premiership leaders Celtic, who recovered from Brendan Rodgers’ shock departure this week to beat Hearts 2-1 at Tynecastle thanks to a stoppage-time winner from Odsonne Edouard.
But as long as Rangers keep performing like this, the pressure will remain on the side now led by Neil Lennon.
