Ethan Robson did make a League One appearance for Sunderland in the first half of the season but he’s starting to impress in the Scottish Premiership.

Dundee manager Jim McIntyre is hoping that Sunderland loanee Ethan Robson will now establish himself in the starting XI after a slow start to life north of the border, as reported by the Courier.
Robson followed Andrew Nelson in swapping Wearside for Scotland in the January transfer window, joining the Dark Blues on loan for the rest of the season while the striker sealed a permanent move to the Premiership outfit.
But while Nelson has been a revelation, scoring four goals in four games, Robson’s impact has been limited in contrast.
Though after starting successive league games for the first time in Dundee colours, McIntyre is hoping that Robson can now start to prove his worth.
“It’s been stop-start for him,” McIntyre said.

“Both of the boys who we’ve taken from Sunderland have had their troubles with picking up injuries. It was good to see (Robson) get 90 minutes under his belt.”
A 22-year-old midfielder from Houghton-le-Spring, Robson did not make an appearance for Sunderland in the first half of the League One campaign despite the club having a manager in Jack Ross who tends to put his faith in youth.
And with Grant Leadbitter returning to Wearside in January, Robson will be hoping that he can make an impression during his time at Dundee as he aims to catch Ross’s eye.
