Has Lee Wallace played his last game for Scottish Premiership giants Rangers?

It hasn’t been the best few months of Lee Wallace’s career.

The long-serving left-back was suspended along with Kenny Miller in April for an alleged row with interim boss Graeme Murty after the 4-0 Scottish Cup semi-final defeat to Celtic (BBC). Wallace was then stripped of the captaincy with the armband handed to James Tavernier.

And, in another blow to his Rangers’ career, the 31-year-old has now been omitted from Rangers’ official Europa League squad.

The Glasgow giants will be playing European football for the first time since 2010/11 but Wallace will play no part. Is this the latest sign that he has no future at Ibrox? A number of Rangers fans certainly think so.

Wallace has only featured in one of Gerrard’s 13 games in charge of Rangers, coming on in the dying seconds of the dramatic 3-3 draw at Motherwell recently.

He is also behind both Borna Barisic and Jon Flanagan in the pecking order, meaning a return to the first-team fold looks very unlikely as things stand.

But after seven years and 255 games for Rangers, does Wallace deserve better?
