Championship title-chasers Leeds United are reportedly hoping to reunite Marcelo Bielsa with Deportivo Alaves’ La Liga star Ibai Gomez.

Ibai Gomez to Leeds United could be a reality after all.
Eyebrows were raised last week when Goal reported that Leeds were confident of signing the 28-year-old winger, whose outstanding form in La Liga have catapulted Alaves to second in the table after 10 games.
And according to AS, Ibai is indeed considering his future after spending his entire career in Spain. So a reunion with Marcelo Bielsa, his former coach at Athletic Bilbao, could genuinely be on the cards.

But what can Leeds fans expect from the Basque-born left-footer? Well this sumptuous solo goal, scored for Alaves against Malaga in May, should give supporters something to look forward to with the January transfer just two months away.
Ibai was always a bit part player at boyhood club Athletic Bilbao but he has really blossomed since joining Alaves two years ago. He is the man who makes the team tick, his skill, vision and ever-improving end product marking him out as one of La Liga’s more underrated stars.
Should Ibai arrive, he could be the man who turns those draws into wins for Leeds – while taking the creative burden off the outstanding but ageing Pablo Hernandez.
