Kiko Casilla is reportedly set to join Championship table-toppers Leeds United from La Liga powerhouses Real Madrid.

Leeds United lost Jamal Blackman to a broken leg in November but look set to replace the Chelsea loanee with a 32-year-old Spanish international.
According to AS, Kiko Casilla is edging closer to a move to Elland Road having flown in from Real Madrid on Wednesday. It is understood that the experienced shot-stopper, who will sign on a free transfer despite having 18 months left on his contract at the Bernabau, has already completed his medical.
And All Leeds TV host Joe Wainman certainly added to the excitement when he posted a picture on Instagram which seemingly shows Casilla’s place in the Elland Road dressing room. It seems only a matter of time now before the deal is formally announced.
With all due respect to youngster Bailey Peacock-Farrell, who has been Leeds’ number one since March, Casilla could represent a substantial upgrade.
The former Espanyol stopper might be third choice at Real but that says more about the other options available to Santiago Solari, including Belgian star Thibaut Courtois and the underrated Keylor Navas, than Casilla’s own qualities.
Although it remains to be seen how he adapts to the physical and unforgiving nature of the Championship.
