Championship and Midland rivals Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly intersted in misfiring Ligue 1 hitman Enzo Crivelli

Aston Villa have spent the entirety of the transfer window chasing the tails of countless strikers with a proven Championship track-record.
Villa’s long-running pursuit of Leicester City outcast Leo Ulloa is well documented and, according to the Birmingham Mail, they have identified Burnley flop Nahki Wells as a back-up option if the Argentine is not allowed to leave the King Power Stadium this month.

So it’s fair to say links with Angers striker Enzo Crivelli have come straight out of the blue. According to L’Equipe, Villa are looking to sign the 22-year-old despite his record of just one goal in 15 games for a side stuck in France’s relegation zone.
Now, it’s not often that Villa and Wolves fans will agree that they have something in common but it seems that most of the Midlands is united in not wanting Crivelli this month.
L’Equipe adds that Championship leaders Wolves are also interested in the former Bordeaux striker, a tall and rangy targetman who certainly has a bit of a temper.

Wolves have far and away the biggest budget, and the most pulling power, in the Championship so surely they can do a little better than a striker who has scored fewer goals than Barry Douglas in 2017/18.
