Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen to bring Van de Beek to the Premier League and he shone against Real Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday.

If there were any Tottenham Hotspur fans wondering whether Donny Van de Beek is good enough to perform at the top level, his performance against Real Madrid in the Champions League has certainly silenced the doubters.
There will not have been many Spurs supporters tuning into Ajax’s clash with the La Liga giants at the Amsterdam Arena, given that Mauricio Pochettino’s side were hosting Borussia Dortmund on the same night.
But those who couldn’t stomach the nerves of the crunch clash against the Bundesliga leaders will have witnessed a superb performance from a young midfielder linked with a move to North London.

Calciomercato reported this week that Spurs have identified Van de Beek as a potential replacement for Mousa Dembele ahead of the summer transfer window. The midfielder has been in top form for Ajax this season, scoring ten goals and providing seven assists.
And the 21-year-old showcased his class against Real Madrid’s fleet of silver-hoarding superstars. He was calm, composed and ethnically perfect throughout, making a number of intelligent forward runs to justify those comparisons with a certain Manchester United legend Paul Scholes.
Just imagine how good Van de Beek could be if Pochettino got his hands on him. One of Europe’s top young midfielders was certainly deserving of his praise on Twitter:
