Liverpool loaned midfielder Herbie Kane out to Doncaster Rovers and he shone in the FA Cup first round against Chorley.

English football could have another starlet called Kane. 19-year-old Herbie is on loan at Doncaster Rovers from Liverpool and, at the 19th time of asking, finally opened his account at senior level this weekend – and what a way to do it.
After poking in from close range in the first half, Kane struck again to ensure Doncaster avoided a shock FA Cup first round exit to National League North side Chorley on Sunday, curling a sublime strike into the top corner to force a replay after a 2-2 draw.
Rovers boss Grant McCann did not hold back in his praise for the teenage midfielder.
“Herbie is different class,” he told the Doncaster Free Press.
“We had a chat with Herbie during the week about picking the ball up in more dangerous areas. Someone of Herbie Kane’s quality you want in and around the box.

“His first goal he got in the box and scored. His second was just outstanding to come inside and whip the ball into the top corner.”
The Bristol-born former England U17 international has not made a senior appearance for Liverpool, but more performances like this will only help his chances of a future role under Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.
The rise of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez certainly gives Liverpool’s youngsters hope for the future. The test for Kane, however, is for him to show the same goal-scoring qualities in League One.
